Holiday in Eyemouth - Hello and welcome to the charming fishing port in the Scottish Borders

Our "Holiday Home" is located in the beautifully maintained Parkdean Holiday Park and is complete with all comforts and amenities to ensure a most enjoyable and relaxing holiday break for couples and families up to six.

The holiday park itself offers many activities and attractions for both young and old and includes free use of WiFi in the park and a centrally located children's play area.

Park facilities include laundry, restaurant, amusement arcade and an event room with bar in which regular entertainment is organised by Parkdean Resorts. On the Parkdean Resorts (Eyemouth) web-site, you will find information on planned entertainment events and activities.

From the park it is only a 5 minute walk down to the beach and promenade and closely situated shops and cafes. Also within a couple of minutes walk from the park is an indoor swimming pool and gym (just in case the weather misbehaves).

All-in-all there are many possibilities to explore Eyemouth's history and life today.

Of great interest is the harbour where you will find the 18th century "Gunsgreen House" of Adam design open to public viewing. Eyemouth Information centre, located near to Market Place, is open from Easter to October and holds many exhibits and information on the catastrophic 1881 "Black Friday". You will also find extensive information on the legendary annual Eyemouth Herring Queen Festival.

Whatever your interests and tastes, Eyemouth provides.

Through its many restaurants, Eyemouth is one of the best locations in Britain for enjoying traditional "Fish and Chips" prepared using the fish "fresh from the catch" by Eyemouth's fishing fleet.

The Contented Sole and The Tavern offer menus to suit all needs, whilst The Ship and Oblo's offer quality menus at slightly higher prices. All worth a look in. (Baskets of Scampi or Chicken goujons are my kids favorites from The Contented Sole)

Giacopazzi's offers takeaway fish and chips, fried to order, as well as a dine-in option along with their cafe offering award-winning ice cream, coffee and cakes.

On High Street you'll find Saffron Indian restaurant and takeaway, Kocero's for kebabs and pizzas and a choice of 2 Chinese takeaways. You can also enjoy an excellent coffee in Rialto's Vegan coffee bar. You'll also find the Eyemouth General Store along this street that sells almost every thing you will think of ever needing!

For daily provisions in the town, there is a Co-op supermarket, Lough's Home bakery (fantastic pies and freshly baked bread) and D R Collin Fishmonger for all your fresh seafood.

10 minutes drive away in Berwick, you'll find a wider selection of larger stores with Morrisons, M&S Foodhall, Aldi, Lidl, Tesco and Asda all represented.

There's a regular bus service between Eyemouth and Berwick, Bus stop next to Co-op carpark, with Berwick train station servicing the East coast Mainline. (45-50 minutes to either Newcastle or Edinburgh)

Golfers may wish to sample Eyemouth's popular coastal golf course, 5 minutes drive from the town centre, or venture down the coast to Goswick GC, one of the areas best links courses, 25 minutes drive away.

Eyemouth has become home from home for us, the people are so very welcoming, the town offers so much and we have enjoyed many holidays before buying this holiday home, if fact many times in this very caravan. We would love for you to experience this too. Our static caravan is in prime location on the clifftops overlooking the beach and town. (see photos from inside and on decking)

Any questions, please fill out an enquiries form and we will answer as swiftly as we can.
