Holiday in Eyemouth - Hello and welcome to the charming fishing port in the scottish borders

This "Holiday Home" is located in the beautifully maintained Park Resorts Holiday Park and is complete with all comforts and amenities to ensure a most enjoyable and relaxing holiday break for couples and families up to six.

The holiday park itself offers many activities and attractions for both young and old and includes free use of WiFi in the park club and reception areas and a centrally located children's play area.

Park facilities include laundry, restaurant, amusement arcade and an event room with bar in which regular entertainment is organised by Park-Dean Resorts. On the Park-Dean Resorts (Eyemouth) web-site, you will find information on planned entertainment events and activities.

From the park it is only 5 minutes walk down to the beach and promenade and closely situated shops and cafes. Also within a couple of minutes walk from the park is an indoor swimming pool (just in case the weather misbehaves).

The town of Eyemouth offers also many further pastime highlights and good restaurants and cafes where you can relax and enjoy. All-in-all there are many possibilities to explore Eyemouth's history and life today.

Of great interest is the harbour where you will find (amongst further nice restaurants and cafes) the maritime museum which was constructed by adaptation of a covered fish market into a "galleon-like" structure (visted by Queen Elisabeth in 2009) and 18th century "Gunsgreen House" of Adam design open to public viewing. Golfers may wish to sample the popular coastal golf course.

Eyemouth Information center, located near to Market Place, is open from Easter to October and holds many exhibits and information on the catastrophic 1881 "Black Friday" (a book on the subject is also provided in the holiday accommodation for deeper reading).

Whatever your interests and tastes, Eyemouth provides.

Talking about taste, Eyemouth provides through its many restaurants one of the best locations in Britain for enjoying traditional "Fish and Chips" prepared in excellent quality and using the fish "fresh from the catch" by Eyemouth's fishing fleet. For those who would like to try their hand at self-sufficiency, fishing rod and tackle is provided in the accommodation and a tackle shop can be found on the harbour side.

Along with the wide offer in fish cuisine, award-winning ice cream parlours, in the hands of "Giacopazzis" on the harbour side and "Mackays" on the High Street, offer a delicious and creative ice variety. Not to forget a home-baked scone with excellent coffee in the cosy Rialto coffee bar (also on High Street).

For daily provisions, there is a small supermarket (who also will deliver orders from £20 upwards) and bakery in the town. For those who are mobile, larger selection is available in such familiar stores as Morrissons, Aldi, Tesco and Asda in the nearby town of Berwick upon Tweed (approximatley 13km from Eyemouth). There is also a regular bus service between Eyemouth and Berwick.

To describe Eyemouth and its positive Impression to the fullest would be too much to digest. For further details on the town, its attractions and activities... best visit Eyemouth's official Website (www.eyemouth.com). There you will also find extensive information on the legendary annual Eyemouth Herring Queen Festival.
